Break the Need

This project aimed to encourage cyclical forms of consumption that break from the need, particualarly in the fast fashion industry, to maintain a constant stream of new purchases. The message could equally be applied to questions of sustainability at the point of creation in design industries.    

Each element was hand drawn and material choices were important in the development of the project as I wanted to ensure the concept was reflected in my chosen media. With this in mind, I created sheets of handmade paper from recycled offcuts and applied my compositions to these.
